My soup smells like dog saliva.

I saw a shiny black dog on the train today. She was a happy dog with a nice owner. Seeing her made me happy.
I noticed later that she made everyone else on the train happy too.

Everytime I go on that track I end up going further than anticipated.
This time was only meant to be testing the waters of long distance biking since I haven't done it for ages and ages so I wasn't trying to break any personal records with speed.
Speedometer doesn't work so roughly 80km+ in 7 hours, approximately 11.5kmph.

I saw ducks, and dogs and birds and a big duck! And a big white fluffy dog and FULL SEMICIRCLE RAINBOW! And squark squark squark! And lots of mud. C:

Today something wonderful happened.

I was at my computer and had plugged my mobile phone into the cord sitting on the table to recharge when I noticed the cord right next to it for recharging the Eeepc. This conveniently reminded me that it was flat after today's usage and I thought "Dang, I'll have to go get it," when it just so happened that I had come back from uni without bothering to put my backpack in my room so it was right there under the table! During this excitement I had picked up the Eeepc cord plug but now I wasn't able to put it back down again without the weight of the cord pulling it off the table. I couldn't simultaneously hold the cord above the table and get my Eeepc from my bag without exerting more than my current effort threshold so I was forced to let it drop when suddenly I noticed the stickytape dispenser RIGHT NEXT TO THE CORD! It was a simple matter of lightly pressing the cord onto the adhesive side of the stickytape on the extended bit that comes before the metal teeth to hold it there. Now I was free to go grab the Eeepc and bring it up to be connected to the cord, this convenience of item location made me happy.

BUT THEN...

Then I came to the realisation that had I let the cord drop it wouldn't've mattered because I was going under the table to retrieve the Eeepc in the first place! The only difference would be where the connection took place, there would be no difference in effort expenditure on my part at all!

This win win scenario that had just occurred made today the happiest day of my life. (:

A man came to me on the train station.
"Excuse me, could you spare some loose change for some food please?"
"Um, how much are you after?"
Then he walked off.

Yesterday at the train station a big boned bald man bought a pack of chips from a vending machine. The packet got stuck half way and the machine frame was too supported to be shaken. As I was watching him we exchanged cynical chuckles and I then considered helping him out by buying a pack of chips of the same kind so two would fall out and it'd be as if we both bought chips. Then I remembered how stingey I was and how I wanted to avoid junk food so I didn't help him.

Later he went and bought a second one which pushed the first one out but got stuck itself.
Another cynical chuckle.

A few weeks ago we saw a clarinet recital done by a masculine Spanish student. His normal facial mode seemed to be like a contemplative angry. Each time he drew breath those eyebrows went a little lower.
And then the cutest thing happened; the song gave him a rest and let the accompanying piano take over for a bit, during that little gap while just listening to the music he forgot about keeping up his angry expression and smiled.
When his part back back he quickly snapped out of it. I couldn't help silently laughing.

I suppose I ought to say something about the move to uni: don't dehydrate.

100.4km at an average speed of 14.09km/h makes me fucking tired.

I must try to read more frequently than I currently do. To achieve that I think I need a routine interface through which I can schedule events which are completed at the designated times so that when the requirement for a task becomes apparent it can be set to initialize at a stage that meets the requirements for the task. How can this system be integrated as a stable factor of my daily life? I don't know, without it already in place it's hard to take the steps necessary for its implementation. I'll leave a note for myself in the morning; "Schedule yourself", that's a start for now.

I was supposed to do that 40km ride today as it is a Sunday. Instead I forgot about it and wasted the day on unproductivity. I also was supposed to work heavily on that New Year's flower thing but that too was left out of the day's priorities.
Dearie me, I'm not proud.
